We take “From our Home to yours” seriously at Coon Tails Cattery. The kittens are not raised in kennels, they are part of our family. They will be exposed to children making them perfect for a family. We love our coons and know you will too.
Appearance
- Size: Maine Coons are large cats, with males typically weighing between 13 to 18 pounds, and females between 8 to 12 pounds. Some males can even exceed 20 pounds
- Coat: They have a heavy, shaggy coat that is silky and smooth. The coat can come in a variety of colors and patterns, including solid, tabby, bi-color, and more
- Features: They have large tufted ears, a bushy tail, and expressive eyes that can be green, gold, or copper

Personality
- Temperament: Often referred to as “gentle giants,” Maine Coons are known for their amiable and gentle nature. They are sociable, friendly, and get along well with children and other pets
- Intelligence: These cats are highly intelligent and can be trained to perform tricks. They are curious and enjoy interactive play
- Vocalization: Maine Coons are talkative but not overly loud. They communicate with a variety of soft meows, chirps, and trills
Care
- Grooming: Due to their long fur, Maine Coons require regular grooming to prevent matting. Brushing a few times a week is usually sufficient
- Exercise: They are active cats that enjoy playing and exploring. Providing them with toys and opportunities for physical activity is important
- Diet: Maine Coons have no special dietary needs, but they do require a high-protein diet to support their large size
